Chemical Management
In a nutshell
Our chemical management system ensures that every substance on site is known, assessed, and handled with precision and care.
All chemicals are handled under strict procedures, covering procurement, manufacturing, storage, labeling, and use. Chemical operations are governed by an internal chemicals committee, who oversees the introduction of new products, ensures that hazard assessments are carried out, and maintains full compliance with REACH and CLP regulations.
Comprehensive Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available in an internal library, ensuring quick access to safety and handling information for every substance used on site. This structured approach ensures full traceability, risk control, and regulatory compliance throughout the chemical life cycle.
Health & Safety
Health and Safety is an integral part of every process at Dynea. We operate under several certified management systems and conduct regular risk assessments, training, and audits. Our emergency preparedness organisation works closely with local fire and rescue services to maintain a high level of safety and readiness across the site.
Storage & Logistics
Safe and efficient storage is central to our operations. We provide dedicated, controlled storage for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products—including liquids, powders, and packaged goods—with full traceability and inventory controls. Our Engene docking quay enables efficient import and on-site storage of methanol and urea, supporting seamless handling from receipt through dispatch.
Storage and logistics at Dynea include:

- Dangerous goods handling and shipment
- Shipment service of packed goods and tank containers
Waste & Environmental Management
Our waste and environmental management systems are designed to support safe and compliant operations. All waste and emissions are managed in accordance with environmental permits and our ISO 14001–certified management system.
A modern biological wastewater treatment plant serves both Dynea and industrial tenants, ensuring reliable treatment.
All waste streams are managed by approved waste contractors and reported in line with requirements set by the Norwegian Environment Agency. Hazardous waste is handled safely by qualified partners, and we actively work to minimise waste generation, reuse by-products, and develop circular solutions.
