REACH

The REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) is one of the world’s most comprehensive frameworks for chemical safety. The purpose of REACH is to ensure high level of protection of human health and environment, promote alternative methods for assessment of hazards and ensure free circulation of substances on the internal market while enhancing competitiveness and innovation.

Dynea complies with registration and communication requirements. All substances in products placed on the market have been registered by Dynea or our upstream suppliers, unless exempted.

Most formaldehyde based resins and binders manufactured and supplied by Dynea are regarded as mixtures containing polymers. Polymers are exempted from registration provided in-going monomers are registered.

CLP

The Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation ((EC) No 1272/2008) is based on the United Nations’ Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and its purpose is to ensure a high level of protection of health and the environment, as well as the free movement of substances, mixtures and articles.

Dynea classifies and labels all chemicals products in line with the CLP regulation and provide information about certain hazardous mixtures to the relevant national bodies, in line with Article 45 of the CLP Regulation.

Regulatory Developments & Strategic Alliances

Health and safety have been a key competence at Dynea since the 1980s. We are following developments of new regulations closely via strategic alliances like Cefic, Formacare and the Norwegian Industry Federation as well as via REACH consortia. Interdisciplinary collaboration, with project organisation, when necessary, ensures holistic implementation in the organisation.
