The Piano Pavilion completed

Lahti, Finland, 5 June 2008 - The Piano Pavilion, commissioned by the Wood in Culture Association, has been completed in Lahti, Finland. Sponsored by Dynea and Finnish mechanical wood working companies, the Piano Pavilion is architecturally noteworthy and a tribute to wood buildings. Commissioned by the Wood in Culture Association, the building was designed by one of the most renowned architects in the Nordic countries, Gert Wingårdh from Sweden. His design echoes and celebrates the work of Italian Renzo Piano, recipient of the 2000 Spirit of Nature Wood Architecture Award. More »

Grey overlays with UV stability

Dynea is the first to offer a light and dark grey surface film that incorporates all the performance properties of the traditional dark brown phenolic surface films as well as UV stability. Dynea’s Ultim Techno overlays are ideal for flooring panels (transport, scaffolding, other flooring) as well as for heavy weight transport and concrete shuttering applications. »

EPI system approved for Japan

Dynea has introduced a new EPI system - Prefere 6181 with hardener Prefere 6681 - that has been specially developed to produce glulam posts for the Japanese market and has been approved according to the Japanese standard JIS K 6806. The two-component adhesive system, based on an emulsion polymer and an isocyanate, is fast curing, permits short pressing times and can be used under both cold and hot pressing conditions. It is very well suited for radio frequency pressing conditions. It gives bonds with excellent water and heat-resistance and conforms to durability class D4 of the European standards EN 204/205 with good margin.Dynea: Glulam beams  »

Flexible MUF/MF systems for finger-jointing and face-gluing

Dynea’s Prefere melamine and melamine urea adhesive systems offer flexible hardener dosages, long assembly times, low glue spread and excellent gluing properties.
