Poly Vinyl Acetate (PVAc) adhesives
Polyvinylacetate (PVAc) adhesives are classified as thermoplastic adhesives and are produced by an addition polymerisation of either vinylacetate alone or in combination (copolymerisation) with various amounts of one or more other monomers which may or may not contain reactive groups. From the resulting PVAc-base, a range of adhesives can be formulated to suit the needs and specifications for the wood working and the paper and packaging industries.
Dynea manufactures one- and two-component PVAc adhesives in Asia and Europe. The range of adhesives is designed for maximum performance with respect to both the climate conditions in the different regions and the difference in the wide variety of bonding operations.
The PVAc adhesives can be custom-tailored for each individual customer to meet specific requirements and performance criteria. This includes requirements for water resistance, curing speed, substrate type, strength, viscosity, solids content and film-forming temperature. Recently, a one-component PVAc adhesive which fulfils the highest classification for water resistance in the European standard EN-204 was introduced into the market with great success.
Dynea’s PVAc adhesives are capable of meeting the various performance criteria required by different standards such as JAS, EN and ASTM.
