Phenol-formaldehyde (PF) Resins

The application field for phenol-formaldehyde resins is wide spread. You can find the resins in products such as plywood, OSB, LVL, mineral wool (insulation), technical and decorative laminates as well as in abrasives, friction, foam, foundry, refractory and many other applications. Dynea offers phenolic resins as resols and novolacs.

PF resins for the core layers of decorative laminates and phenolic surface films are mainly water borne low molecular liquid resols with good penetration properties.

By creating special resin structures and the usage of additives the resins are specially designed to meet the demands of different production processes such as CPL presses, multidaylight presses or shortcycle presses and to achieve the desired laminate properties like postforming laminates, flame retardant laminates and compact boards.
