Acrylic Polymer Dispersions (paints and plasters)
Acrylic polymer dispersions are classified as thermoplastic binders for paints and plasters. They are produced by emulsion polymerization of acrylic monomers, which may or may not contain reactive groups. The resulting acrylic dispersions are used in the formulation of architectural paints, wood coatings and plasters. Dynea offers special acrylic polymer dispersions to fulfill the requirements for a variety of different applications. The type of binder to use must take into account the scope of application and climatic conditions under which the coating must perform.
Acrylic dispersions are non-yellowing and exhibit high stability against water and dirt. Thus they are preferred as binders in outdoor applications such as wood stains, wall paints and decorative plasters.
Dynea’s acrylic polymer dispersions are produced in Europe.
