Dynea sets new standards in structural wood adhesives
With the new Prefere 6151/6651, Dynea has successfully developed a water based adhesive system with extremely low VOC emissions that needs only 30 minutes pressing time at room temperature, but still allows an assembly time of 30 minutes, and complies with the performance requirements for a Type 1 adhesive according to EN and DIN.
The Prefere 6151/6651 is an adhesive-system based on EPI (emulsion-polymer- isocyanate) technology. It has been tested by the MPA, Stuttgart, and approved by the DIBt, Berlin, as a structural adhesive Type 1, according to EN 301/302 and DIN 68141, for a glueline thickness of up to 0,2 mm.
EPI-adhesives have been in use as structural adhesives for decades in Japan and North America. Already since the beginning of 2004, the Prefere 6151/6651 has been successfully used as a structural adhesive in the Nordic countries, having undergone testing by the NTI (Norwegian Woodworking Institute), and holding an approval from the NLN (Nordic Gluelam Committe).
Prefere 6151/6651 is an ideal system for production of duo- and trio-beams, finger-joints, glulam and I-beams, as well as building elements, using well controlled production parameters.
In cooperation with renowned suppliers of equipment, Dynea is offering state-of-the-art complete solutions for the handling of the Prefere 6151/6651.Visit our Internet web sites at http://www.dynea.com to learn more about our operations.
