This alphabetical glossary is the vocabulary we use on health, safety, environment and quality issues.
Audit
Systematic and documented examination in order to determine whether
activities and related results conform to planned arrangements,
and whether these arrangements are implemented effectively and
suitable for implementing the organisation’s policy and
achieve it’s objectives.
BS 8800
Guide to occupational health and safety management systems.
Continual improvement
Process of enhancing the management system to achieve improvements
in overall performance in line with the organization’s
HSEQ-policy.
Environmental preferred product/services
Demonstrate superiority in one or more HSE attributes over competing
products/services during its life cycle

The overall management system that includes organizational structure,
planning, activities, responsibilities, practises, procedures,
processes and resources for developing, implementing, achieving,
