AnyPress: Innovative new phenolic surface film for all press types
AnyPress from Dynea increases production efficiency and reduces customer inventory
Dynea introduces AnyPress, an innovative new line of phenolic surface films for use in both single-opening as well as multi-opening presses. Panel producers utilising more than one type of press have traditionally had to use a different surface film specifically tailored for either multi-opening or single-opening presses. Dynea’s AnyPress phenolic surface films can be run in all press types with optimal performance.
By using the AnyPress phenolic surface films, the panel producer will be able to reduce the number of films used. The panel producer’s benefits include time savings, a more simplified and efficient production process and reduced inventory.
Meeting customer needs
AnyPress is yet another innovative example of how Dynea focuses on creating value for the customer. “We believe AnyPress will help our customers improve their productivity by simplifying their inventories as well as their production processes, says Ilpo Silventoinen, Application and Product Development Manager Paper Overlays. “Until now, customers using more than one type of press had to use a different film for each press, even when they were producing panels for the same end application. Now with AnyPress, Dynea offers them one overlay to run in all their presses.”

AnyPress is based on Dynea’s proprietary advanced resin and impregnation technology and was developed by Dynea’s global overlays research team, combining know-how from Medan (Indonesia), Singapore, Kitee (Finland) and Guangdong (China).
Dynea’s industrial overlay production
Dynea is a world-leader in phenolic surface film (PSF) technology. The phenolic surface film is a phenolic resin impregnated overlay designed to improve the surface characteristics of wood based panels, such as plywood. The films are durable, scuff and abrasion resistant and resist severe weather exposure. Furthermore, PSF machines well during sawing, routing and drilling.
The PSF products are designed with modern technology using various combinations of formaldehyde-based resins, kraft papers, coatings and additives based on the specific application needs of Dynea’s customers. The overlay is a self-bonding sheet that cures under heat and pressure.
